While away from home, learning to be a large-quantity baker, my offduty hobbies were limited by the weather (which wasn't all that cooperative this summer!). Particularly early on in the season (It was still snowing in June, ick!). In May I broke out my camera and spent a great deal of time hoofing through the paths looking for interesting things to take photos of. I found this totally awesome fungus on the side of a birch tree and got some great shots of it. Unfortunately I went back a few weeks later and the tree was gone, cut down as part of the seasonal maitenance by the camp crew. Glad I went when I did!
