Some painting experiments from the last few days ^^
Lately I've been trying to choose a solid workflow to use on current and upcoming painted commissions, since I've been super distracted by various interesting workflows. This is my favorite for now, and I'll stick with it :)
Mainly I wanted a workflow that was very similar to if I were to make the painting with lineart, so I can stick to basically one workflow for inked and painted drawings (trying to diverge them was a big mistake.) This isn't necessarily the best or most naturalistic way to paint, but works well for me (looks good, while being super fast and simplified.) I like it ^^
__________
Apologies again for not being around much... I'm trying my best to stay productive!
I'm mostly back to a normal human schedule as well, no more staying awake well past dawn :P That was terrible for me in many ways XD
__________
Anyways, I hope you find the drawings interesting :P Let me know what you think! See ya! ^^

Coloring a greyscale painting is actually quite easy the way I do it XD
Not sure what program you are using, but in Clip Studio I make a new layer above the greyscale painting and set it to the "color" blending mode. Then I just paint the flat colors I want :) Then I paint more details, in color, in a new layer over the colored painting. Those 3 steps are the ones shown with the cheetah one in my post
