Me: I wanted to have a character that shows that sometimes nature made some weird creatures and thus in the realm of anthros speciesism maybe is justified, and it's not a good analogy for real life racism.

Also while it's true that spotted hyenas have matriarchy, it was based on masculinity so it wasn't the best example of it and you probably doesn't want to hold them as prime example.
