Pot was probably cold worked into shape, after the initial ingot was hammered hot into a sheet, and is now being heated to remove the work hardening so it's not brittle.
Copper is pretty soft; a lot of stuff made from it was traditionally hammered into shape cold; still done that way in places.

There was so many details to this that made it all the more fun to look for them.
