my part of california has the same snake, but almost everything else is different.
grew up in the "hills" (donner summit) about half the state north of you.
mule deer most typical animal, although for smaller ones, maybe porcupine.
kitkitdizz and wild blackberries. phesant and quail. and really big pine trees.
