Made this originally as a sketch for RinTheDragon's convention book. When I handed in my first submission for Dktorzi's upcoming art book back in December, I thought I might quickly sneak in a quick second submission, since I already had made the sketch some time ago and sprucing it up to submission quality would not take me too much time. Planned finishing time: mid-January, about two weeks after. I didn't make time since I just couldn't stop myself adding a detailed background in there, and rendering took way longer than I initially thought (Granted, I have a way of underestimating time and adding details). Life also got in the way, but most of it was just me.
Anyway, here's the DK family having a little R & R from doing mythical things and otherworldly stuff, at the local Italian. Spaghetti for DemonKitty and Ming-Chun, and, as is in line with the character, coffee for Rin. While Ming-Chun takes her time with her plate, DK is a little more hungry and gluttonous with his. So gluttonous in fact, that he missed seeing one of Rin's tentacles *accidentally* mingled up in his spaghetti. As he chomps down on the spaghetti plus tentacle, Rin feels the force of DK's dentures. Rin hurts and yelps as the other two realize what's happening and startle. The poor things is nearly eaten off his chair. The yelp attracts a couple of other patrons who see the mug of hot coffee flying, and anticipate what happens next.
A more cartoonish, less anatomically intensive entry to my usual work, not used to drawing dragons. It was fun to do those cartoon-y emojis. I'm glad I could give the lick of polish I wanted to give it originally.
