Annnnd as promised to those who love scales and fire a salamander space marine! Everyone who is a fan cheer yaaaay!! Hehehe
So to catch the dragon in the room before the question is asked yes he is a deathwatch bet, yes he has a Supah thunder hammer and YEs he has a combo flamer! Why you ask because I wanted too hehe and it was really fun converting this guy to have those items. Sadly though I have but one regret about this guy, I never got the chance to pick up some nifty dark Aelves scale cloaks from the corsairs so please forgive me I don’t have a cool scale cloak T.T I tried but I couldn’t afford to get them for one model and no one I knows had a spare so as much as I used much for spare bits on em I couldn’t give ya that.
Now as for painting this guy I have never had an easier time painting green before, was shown this new way by a friend and well I can best describe it as boom boom boom done Armor, also just in love with his thunder hammer colours it looks so cool to me with what almost looks like a roaring hot internal glow! Small part of me wonders if I should have added some jagged lines to look like cracked lava
Anyway I hope everyone enjoys this model I did up and are inspired by it for their own work!

I don’t know if forgiving is the word I would use :p it doesn’t like me and for years I wanted to paint a proper salamanders army but I could never do the green it always streaked or worse X.X always mew... so I’m really proud of myself on this one :)

Yup yup I’m sure whoever sees that hammer coming is thinking to themselves “shucks.. I knew I never should of got out of bed today” and then ker splat enemy everywhere :) hehe now all I think of is that guy from hot shots part deuc(so) and after getting hit and splattered against a wall looking over and breaking the 4th wall and say “now that’s one hell of a hammer ouchie”

10 interseccors, 5 hell blasters, 6 interceptors, 2 lieutenant primaris, 1 primaris anchient, grand master azeal, primas captain in gravis armor, 10 tact marines, 1 rhino, 1 dreadnaught, 3 ravenwing bikers, and 5 termies. Sofar im learning toward dark angels cause of azeal and the bikers x3

Done a stunning job on the paint work here Silky, the hammer and helmet are gorgeous! Thats not to say the armour isn't as always very well painted, all in all a brilliant model, well done sir, well done.
It is a little shame about the cloak as that would have 100% given the model all the character it would need, but it's always something you could attend to at a later date? ;D

I do agree and as I have spare marines to test in maybe if I get something I can work on them to get it just right with test fits and such :) thank you again I know it’s not easy to see but I put fire on his shoulder guards and leg too to give more I have some freehand scales on him but they are hard to see
Playing around with conversion stuff is all part of the fun! You've nailed the paint scheme so all thats left to worry about is assembly :p Though I have faith in you! Oh yeah, they look great! Painting good fire is pretty tough but you've done a solid job there my friend, I see the scales now! Very impressive, I saw the ones on your Alpha Legion the other day and was impressed with that too!

Yup I enjoy em wish I could get combi-weapons on my primaris maybe one day. Never know maybe I just am building some models that I think are cool and years from now they can actually take this gear XD oh the irony of it all.
Thank you I was really paranoid about the fire effects did it a number of times on a spare of paper before trying it on this guy just to make sure in the end. And ya conversions are quite fun and I know I can do most decently just got to keep working on it to get better

Aaah man, cmon, just convert Primaris to have em anyway and if anyone say anything just say "Combi-Weapons tho" you'll instantly win. It's fine. I mean, they have grenade launchers on em so why not a plasma mount or flamer? I imagine it'd be similar to the normal rules for little marines.
I'd do the same, I won't lie, sit there for hours practising, but still you did real well. I love kit-bash and converting, it does take practice and so much patience!
