in the form of a ball of lint, stuck to his leg. I would get caught on his palp, you can see the offending ball in this image pretty well.

Haha, before my eyes fully took in the picture and saw the second set of eyes, I was seeing only the two facing us and it had a kind of "What're you looking at?" expression.
That aside, this quite a lovely spider

I saw something similar the other day. A fly had careened through a cobweb, and was trailing a string of dust behind him like a streamer. That seemed funny as hell, but I feel rather sorry for the poor linty spider.
Very pretty fella though. Love those leg patterns.
