It really isn't long of a chapter this time but that's okay. The school year for these two will soon be over.

Slow Month Round 2
It then became March and like another one, this month would be slow as well. It wasn’t time for Spring Break or summer just yet. Still the thoughts of school ending for the year were beginning to be on people’s minds. For Nicholas and Topaz, they knew they could then spend more time with their children. For Paul and Jade, they were fine with it, even with the twins. The newborns were slowly getting better. Meanwhile Rachel, thanks to talking to Jack, was getting excited about being a big sister as her mom’s stomach area had gotten bigger and a distinct bump could now be seen. As for Yuki he was now distancing himself from Maddie ever since she kissed him. This made the little coyote disappointed. Every time she tried apologized to him, the little vulpine scurried away as fast as he could.
This came to a head at recess before the St. Patrick’s day party at the school. Yuki was walking with Jack to play some basketball on the area but then he saw Maddie and ducked behind a corner of the school building. Jack knew full well what was going on. He checked if the little coyote wasn’t watching and joined his friend. “You know, this is becoming a pain,” he told Yuki.
“I’m not going to get kissed by her again!” the other little male stated.
“Cool off. You don’t seem me doing that when Rachel did that to me.”
“Oh yeah, you two are close already! Me and Maddie aren’t!”
“Fine, but Maddie was just thanking you. She’s been trying to apologize; she’s told me so.”
Yuki crossed his arms and closed his eyes, clearly thinking hard. “Oh alright…” he grumbled. “I can’t keep avoiding her forever. I’ll listen to her at the party…”
Jack nodded with a smile, satisfied. When lunch was over, it was time to begin for that. But first the traps to catch Leprechauns were checked. These ranged from simple but effective, extensive, cool, and colorful. But of course there was nothing there but a piece of paper with a message saying that the Leprechaun who had come to visit was too cleaver. “I thought mine would work,” Rachel said simply when checking hers.
“Mine didn’t either,” Jack stated, rubbing his head with his left paw.
Yuki was by Maddie’s trap and the little coyote was looking down. “Hey, I didn’t get him either,” the vulpine said to her.
“It’s fine…” she said. The female then looked to him. “Yuki also… I’m sorry I did that to you. I didn’t think you would act that way.”
“It’s okay,” he replied. “I overacted. But… just don’t do that again. Please?”
“Sure. Friends again?” Yuki nodded and both were smiling. Jack and Rachel saw the whole thing and smiled as well. Not much else happened during the party as the month slowly came to an end. Now there were only a couple to go until the school year ended and summer began.

When the school year is finished, is when the real fun will begin.
