"Have I ever told anyone that I don't particularly enjoy my job? Sure, the games are fun, the pay is decent and the outfits are lovely, but it's still a bloody casino. Everything blends together into a murky puddle of excess and sleaze, from the same addicts with everything to lose to the rich bourgeoisie with practically nothing to lose, who throw away more money in one night than I will ever see in a year. Oh how I love seeing their disbelief when the reality of the 22 comes crashing down.
Yet I suppose there are bright spots to all of this, and by spots I really mean a spot; singular form. Without him, I'd probably have gone mad by now. But he keeps me amused and happy regardless of what the nights throw them. I do quite like Vanja. Like, a lot. His impish, bubbly personality and ability to act as composed as suave as he does in the face of adversity, to see things to the very end regardless of what anyone says or throws at him, is honestly something I can't get enough of.
Thank you, Vanja"
HHHHHHHHHH, I love these two boys and they were done justice here. And the casino aesthetic has grown of me since listening to Yucha-P's wonderful Casino! album (Risky Dice > Blackjack, fight me), and the songs definitely inspired the outfits both Zack and Vanja are wearing here.
There's also a lot more to these two working in a casino, so pray that I can actually finish writing something for the first time in months. ;__;_7
