Everything thats composite needs to be "finished by hand". Vacuum bagging simply presses the carbon and epoxy against the mold with alot of pressure to ensure the plys are squeezed together and to eliminate air bubbles. Vacuum bagging also makes the part slightly lighter because it squeezes out all the excessive epoxy from the part. With the previous hooves, I have been relying on gravity and the stickiness of the epoxy but there are always some small spot that doesnt wanna lay-down because of the sharpness of the angle or ridge, so i'd have to sand the flaw and fill it in after its cured which takes alot of time.
As for a Composite nose... I can only make composites in their "natural" color. There are dyes out there to tint epoxy, but I dont have any. And I really don't have the time to be investing in producing plugs, molds, and parts for noses.
