THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT 3D MODELING
Are you having problems with the model downloads, or just 3D stuff in general?
Do they have issues that only a handful of people have?
Ask yourself several questions:
"How old is my computer?"
"Is my computer actually a laptop?"
"How good is my video card?"
"Do I HAVE a video card?"
👉 3D modeling needs an alright-ish, new-ish computer in general, so if you're on Blender, Daz3D, Maya or whatever and you're on a laptop or, like, an office computer, there's a pretty decent chance that you're out of luck.
👉 Blender's Cycles engine, the engine that I and my copy of Blender uses, utilizes your graphics card to do all the work, so again, if you're on a laptop, have an ancient graphics card, or you outright don't HAVE a video card, you're probably out of luck.
(I also hear that you might NEED a graphics card by Nvidia for Blender. I think they might've fixed that by now, though.)

The neat thing about Blender is that they let you download their old releases, going all the way back to the beginning. Folks with older, less capable computers should try the older versions if they're having trouble with the new ones. It's a free solution to a potentially expensive problem.
