Zapotec King and Queen, 14~15th century
The Zapotec civilization (700 BC–1521 AD) was an indigenous pre-Columbian civilization that flourished in the Valley of Oaxaca in Mesoamerica. Archaeological evidence shows that their culture goes back at least 2,500 years. Their magnificent cities such as Monte Alban, Mitla and Zaachila, are famous archeological site and tourist attraction in Oaxaca.
