Redone and finalized.
I made a flag for Sheng’s Native people group, the Samiid Dracinians as they are called, they are native to the Lapland province of Finland alongside the traditional Sámi you see in Norway, Sweden, Finland and parts of Russia in addition, but they broke off from them and became their own incredibly barbaric culture entirely and often their traditions called incredibly horrific, them including ritualistic child sacrifices, ritualistic cannibalism, and self mutalation in times they brought or bring shame to their houses, they are criticized for having other such brutal justice practices like forced adultery where their spouse is raped in front of them for criminal punishment, or torture methods that involve non fatal neck slicing, and amputation of fingers, toes, or other appendages, they are also EXTREMELY hostile towards outsiders and are known to kill trespassing hikers, tourists, etc like the behaviors seen in the North Sentinelese tribe of the Nicobar & Adaman Islands, many believe their scales are black like the night because their evil souls have painted their bodies as black as their hearts. They are contacted and known of the outside world, but stay mostly cut off and their land protected and off limits by the Finnish Government with criminal prosecution as the result of attempting to enter. Members of this ethnic group are allowed to defect into Finnish and EU society should they so chose.
The flags symbolism is as follows:
-The two darkest bands of blue stand for the lakes and rivers which supply them life and their ways of life
-The largest light blue band signifies the sky and the spirits in the sky that they believe watch over them.
-The black band represents two things at once: the eternal winter night that they endure in the Lapland tundra for 60 or so days, and their black as the night scales.
-The twin swords represent that they are ready for battle and will strike down any intruders or colonizers that try to destroy their lives and ways of life.
-the two mountains represent Mount Halti and Mount Kovddoskaisi, but can also be a icon for all the Lapland mountains
-The Sword and Mountain are both white to represent the thick and ever present snow of Lapland.
-The two swords are sloped around the mountains to represent the fact they will defend their lands until the last light leaves their eyes and the blood stops spilling from their wounds
Sheng has one of these in his house, hanging on a wall in his bedroom.
