Chiptune - ToeJam & Earl - ToeJam Jammin' (Chocolate VRC6)
See also: Vanilla 2A03 version
I did two versions: A vanilla 2A03 version, and a chocolate VRC6 version.
I did the 2A03 version first, after I realized that the original song was mostly simple enough to cram in just two square wave channels, a triangle channel and a noise channel. But I quickly realized that the original melody was too deep for 2A03's square wave, and I raised the melody an octave so it would fit. But in the process, while what resulted was still funky, it lacked that sense of deep oomph I was trying to achieve. So I called the 2A03 version "vanilla," and set out to create a "chocolate" version using the deeper square wave channels available in VRC6.
Chocolate version sequenced in 0CC-FamiTracker using the Konami VRC6 chip.
