It was mentioned that he had a good relationship with Chelsea and it only got sour after the whole thing of Andy having sex with Emery affected him, and here we see him being attracted to someone he thinks is a woman. Looks to me like he thinks he's straight but has bi-curious tendencies that he can't or won't acknowledge due to how he was raised.
I recall Chelsea said that Cooper had a "sweet" side. I presume this is it. No wonder she (and Andy) fell for him, he's adorable on this page. :D
Heh, mostly everyone is focusing on Cooper's mistake, yet River also made the assumption not only that Cooper is straight, but that Cooper also knows that River himself is a dude. I look forward to the revelation scene, lol.

Seeing that Coop had a panic attack after fooling with Andy, I have a feeling that he'll have a similar reaction when he realizes River is not a chick.
Maybe he'll go running back to Andy. Cause to Coop's simple mind at least with Andy he knows what he's getting instead of being led into a trap xD
After all: Andy's boss, Chelsea, River; these are supporting characters to Andy and Cooper's story, am I right?

The interaction here is so believable, so natural, while being really believable and sweet. The fact that these characters feels like people, though, does make it kinda grating when there are comments calling River a "dickgirl" and a "trap". Like, I get how those words can be titillating in porn, but, uh, I hope folks realize that they're pretty tremendously harmful.
I know using those words can be demeaning and insensitive in most cases, but in this case, I think it's less harmful in the context of the current development of River to say that he's being a trap. River auditioned as a femboy, but is performing burlesque as a woman with a full pair of fake breasts and even teases Cooper about their interaction. People who are actually engaged in wholeheartedly adopting/ transitioning into their gender roles in life don't really act that way. They treat people with respect as they would wanted to be treated with. This is a case of a person putting on a persona for adult entertainment purposes.
It also depends on whether or not the audience really knows whats behind the entertainment they are getting. That being said, we still have a lot of character and plot development behind River to go through, and I'm going off assumptions (and you know what they say about assumptions).
She is absolutely not a trap. She's a queen, a performer, an actor. A straight guy finding her attractive while she's in drag does not mean, to any extent whatsoever, that she intends to lure him into some sort of harm or deception, besides just the deception that is inherent to all acts of performance (for instance, Elizabeth Olsen is not a "trap" just because she can't use magic in real life, nor do we call her acting work an act of deception).
Seriously, this rhetoric is incredibly harmful irl. If folks use it just in the context of, like, joking/teasing porny stuff, yeah, like, that's tenable, could even call that a weird bit of reclamation, but it doesn't look like that here.
