I use to be a big time player of the MMO Guild Wars, and this was one of my main characters, a Reaper specialized Necromancer. Anyone with an eye for Charr nomenclature may wonder where his warband name is, and that's because he's a gladium. You get a cookie if you recognize all the jargon I'm throwing around here.

There's a whole bunch of lore I've had floating around my head for him, but essentially he's a fragment(sundered portion) of Thylus' soul inside of a Charr brought about by a botched Flame Legion ritual on the captured marsupial. There is also a mirrored version of this scenario in the Warcraft universe, but with the Cult of the Damned, with a version of him as a Death Knight/Engineer. May get that drawn one day as well.

So there are essentially two versions of Thylus in the Guild Wars universe, the one you already know, and this Chaotic Neutral Engineer/Mad Scientist persona of him as well. May get some more artwork of him in the future showing off his personality quirks on some unsuspecting "patients".
