How to start other than with what this poster is saying:
Visiting my profile page to the point that the pageview counter goes into the six digits...
(and it's made just by this silly Slowpoke of a Human being XD)
...to check out Shiny the happy-go-lucky Totodile...
(and this guy cannot manage even to upload frequently, isn't overly talented and a talk-a-lot. ^^')
...who I am glad about that during my time here on FA have so many people shown interest in, made smiles with and gave me a happy mood with all of it as well.
(This dude here has so much things he could improve in still...<X3)
Many people here were benefactors for my Totodile mascot and his world...
(and even after all the time here this guy hasn't gotten to write proper refs for all things still. >_>'')
...by sharing their ideas, opinions, time, talent and effort.
(*mutters* Realistically, it makes no sense, does it? XD)
What I am trying to convey, every person who replied to me, everybody who noted me, invited me to chats, praised the things I submitted, thought well of me and of course most likely everybody who just like me enjoyed thinking of Shiny, to all of you and him I dedicate my best wishes and gratitude.
I hope to that at some point I can turn my gallery into something with more content though I'm always hesitating with just dropping submissions and to do things that everyone will be able to fully enjoy, something that shows how much it all means to me.
It's very special and therefore I want to treasure the consideration of everybody. You are the ones that make my time on FA so positive. And with every new encounter, I keep adding new experiences, learning new things and wanting to create things as well.
So what did I do here? I...:
1. have acumulated many artworks from friendly artists since Shiny came to be
2. sorted through my art folders and copied everything that contained Shiny in some way
3. then loaded one pic after another up into my photo editor and cropped the arts into square tiles
4. used a sprite that Sven aka meso6000 once gifted me as a base for a mosaic
5. got a freeware search software that arranges image files on a visible grid, displaying them in colors that look alike in tone
6. sorted all my square soon to be used as mosaic tiles arts of Shiny into the color tones white & gray, dark/black, turquoise/green, red, yellow and lastly blue
7. let my editor open each of the color folders' contents into a 100px per image sized grid from which I'd be able to pool tiles like a puzzle box
8. placed piece by piece every artwork from that pool on top of the Shiny sprite
9. added some small tweaks for every color to shine through best
10. tried making a fun looking background for the poster
And that's basically it. I know there are ways to create photo mosaics automatically online but in that case the images just get placed really randomly and the result wouldn't come out the way like now. <X3
So in numbers:
-bit more than 3 days of sorting, editing and rearranging image objects
-a sprite worth of 790 images
-37 rows and columns
-more than 400 motives used
-each at a size of 100px²
-total dimensions with background at a whopping 4360*4720px
-loads and loads of Shiny as well as a big one that is best viewed from a few steps away from your computer
and lastly
-1 silly dude who hopes people will have fun zooming into the mosaic and watching at the various different scenes
Phew! That was a lot! But it isn't everything. I have more plans to celebrate this milestone with the community. I want to share even more of my happiness with you and I'm going to prepare an exciting event that will give people a chance to get creative, win prizes and to become part of a special collection of arts alongside Shiny.
Look forward to receiving further information in upcoming journals soon. I'll explain the details once I'm done with the preparations. ^_^

While creating the tiles I often tried to catch more things than only just a profile of Shiny but at times characters are placed to far from eachother to get a tile where everything is well enough visible after shrinking the art down to 100px².

Yeah, I definitely favor most of the older episodes. Was at a time the show was on ScrewAttack which doesn't really exist much anymore nowadays.

It's more the software in my case. Whenever I try to edit photos and wanna improve the lighting, the rendering can cause problems. If I'd not have so many problems with rendering any sorta thing like videos for example then I'd even consider filming something for YouTube. I definitely enjoy when people do podcasts, discussions and livestreams. My internet is too slow for the latter either though.
Congratulations on your milestone! I'm glad we met and that I was able to draw a gift pic for you that got featured in this collage! Well, at least one of Rob's volcano humps did... along with a little Totodude puffing it up!

Shrinking all the arts to a smaller size mostly meant I 'd need to decide for only a part of an artwork. Sometimes it's a closeup on Shiny when The characters felt too far apart in the artwork. Would I've had like an artwork of Shiny sitting on your shoulder, Cameruptdude, then it would have been most likely that I've cropped it so that both of our faces would have been visible. =3

Hehe, leave your catalogue here, Mewdude. I'm sure this Totodile wil wag his tail from all the fun product images. He does have a nice collection of toys and usually gets lucky when dudes gift him balloons but but he surely loves to think about what special toys there are to have. I think one could trap Shiny inside a balloon factory and he'd be all giddy to roam about. =D
Yeah, I tried to make it look the best possible by soring for color tones and stuff. It's dedication and a lot of effort to reply to all the companionship that everybody has shown me to this point. Even when people might stop using FA, I wish them that they'll keep having each day reasons to smile about. ^_^
Hehe, I don't think that I'm really popular either, Kenny. It's more that people like Shiny a lot. Everything comes with time. Simply stay you and keep having fun. X3
Well, Yang was the one who thought up a Dragon form for Shiny. It's more of a product of his cast of characters that are all Dragons and Shiny tends to get into transformation situations a lot.
Shiny can make use of a bit of magic thanks to what people have shared with him and that includes a bit of transformation as well, I'd assume. He just needs to learn how to handle it all yet.
I definitely need to write down the proper form descriptions of Shiny in some refs at some point. There exist arts that depict Shiny's five forms (regular, Balloonie, Plushie, Inflatable and Slime) though I didn't repost them yet because of that I'm waiting to properly present each to people with all their abilities.

In terms of the toymancer adept attire I still need to decide what colors will suit Shiny best. Trask gave them to him and while he said that the dark blue and gray would suit Shiny for sure he could also imagine that some other tones could look nice on him.

It's mostly based of Shiny's fantasy. He needs to concentrate his thoughts on what he'd like to happen and the magic bubbles can materialize from the magical power that he got embroidered with. Sometimes though Shiny needs to learn tricks from another toymancer first or learn how to hold onto the ideas or the magic might accidently backfire in some way.
you named three colors there. I didn't say that I would not like the idea but I'd need to first try to picturize Shiny with that color sceme. I must admit also that the combination of colors reminds me of Xmas. X3

Hehe, yeah. It's like that you need to concentrate at times much more to create things. If you change things it's also important to have a clear image of how you'd imagine somebody after the change. It's an art for itself. in a way Shiny's toyish forms already are part of his toymancy as when Shiny got transformed before, he thought of what would be dreamy to be able to do in such forms.

Kenny got into various TFs before and who knows what fun stuff might hapen later yet. Shiny is definitely happy to share the joy of his forms with Kenny. Like if Kenny wants to carry around a balloon then he can always just have Balloonie Shiny attaced to a string and take him for a walk. X3

Aww, shush. I'm not really that popular, Rick. I still need to achieve that I can join you in something fun. I was somewhat surprised that you never considered me when you and Lockjaw collaborated there. Of course I was also happy that my dudes were having fun but it remembered me of that conversation and how fun it could have been to get some cool items from your place. Could have worn the boots you gave me once with it possibly. *wiggles around flustered* <X3
Oh, I should have known. I found it lots of fun that you, Nuffie and him all had fitting outfits. You all looked really cool together. You know I like fashionable stuff.. But I'll stay optimistic that we can get into something together at some point yet. The most important of course is for me that my big dudes are all doing well. X///3
(Marc the silly Human doesn't have much confidence in that others usually like his ideas and when most of the time is adapting things he has seen and thinks might be fun to use for a fanart. When Rick told Shiny for example something about his boots or the Heavysaurus, it sounded like something that would make a cute scene. Problem is, wouldn't want to bother anybody to rehash the same subjects once more just because he'd find fun to involve Shiny in it....
Do I just try to sound funny or why do I describe I myself from Shiny's perspective? Well, yeah. Since I don't really ever look too deep into what artist would work well for that and that idea I often don't even really get any of my ideas out. It just clicks with subjects that people share with me most of the time, I guess.

I hope that I can make further tweaks in the future yet and make my gallery also more informative and funfilled yet. I was giggling at that I'm seemingly already close to the funny number 111111 pageviews sometime soon. =D
Ah, I appreciate the sentiment, thanks. I won't make own predictions personally and just appreciate that I even have made all those experiences here on FA yet which are far more important than numbers alone. I hope to see my dear Totodile mascot Shiny to bring joy to people and if they find fun in seeing more art of him, I'll happily seek to both encourage that idea as well as keep treasuring the kindness an appreciation that I and my dear mascot Totodile Shiny have received.
