[P] - Personal story created by myself.
I had a ton of free time today, and looked through my desktop folders to find a notepad file called "Raz's story in new submission". I decided now was the time to fix up the three to four year old story of my lovely red dragon, made back when I was not too invested in writing. To make things worse I clearly barely put any effort into it, and cringed a fair bit while re-reading today. So here it is, remastered in all it's vorey glory... (Ye've been warned)
The Backstory of Razeth: Spelling errors fixed 7/21/17 and 8/10/17. Story was originally made sometime in 2015/2016, rewritten as of 3/10/2019. Written by ~Razeth on FA.
Razeth originally started out as a young feral dragon living with his family in a cave. They lived close to a kingdom and occasionally raided them for food whenever the forest did not satisfy them, typically just swallowing the humans whole. However, one day the humans had enough and formed an army to attack the cave. The adult dragons tried their hardest to fight off the humans, although it would be difficult as they had just feasted, limiting their movement. Raz decided to play it smart, running out a back entrance to the cave which he created to sneak out during the night. He flew off the ledge and down into the forest, desperately wanting to get away and hope for the best that the others could defend themselves. The red dragon decided to find a spot to rest, quickly falling asleep without notice. Later in the morning, he woke up and noticed that a.. rather peculiar human was poking him in the side. Said human would look up and see he was awake, quickly jumping back and muttering a few words, waving his hands around as magic particles formed out of nowhere, slowly causing Razeth to fall back asleep.
After a few hours, the red beast woke up, taking note he was placed in a cage. Razeth looked around and saw there were shelves full of bottles and a big cauldron in the middle of this massive room. Then, he saw something walking into the room, wearing a sort of clothing that covered its face. "Good, it is awake," the mysterious creature stated before walking up to the cage and holding the red drake's head, opening his mouth and pouring a strange liquid inside. Raz was too drowsy to really do much, and after all the drink was rather tasty. After a bit of waiting, he felt a slight tingling sensation in his neck before a pain hit his head, suddenly speaking a few words, "Ouuch.. what.. was that? And, what are these words I am saying?"
"Aha! It has worked!" the figure had responded, almost ignoring the dragon. "You can now speak and understand the human language! This potion will sell for a fortune at the kingdom, if only I had more of them. For now, I suppose we will move on to other experiments." Raz noticed that the human was focusing purely on the bottle, "What are you talking about?" the dragon asked. "You seemed like you needed a place to stay, and I required a big and strong beast to test my experiments on. You might not be big at the moment, but I'll be sure to make you the strongest being in these lands." it replied with a snicker before taking off the vale over its face. "My name is Alatar, and I will be your master," the human made clear. "You are keeping me here? Away from the other dragons?" Razeth would mention, which the human replied with a nod while crossing his arms, beginning to walk over to a massive table with many bottles and papers to start his work again.
They continued to live with each other over the many years, the wizard conducting many experiments and gaining quite a bit of wealth from the nearby kingdom he sold the potions to, although he'd only sell the ones which were easy to replicate and were not very powerful. They were simple things such as potions to heal wounds or to increase resistance on armor plating. A large majority of the stuff tested on the dragon had an antidote, as to not make him a huge mutated mess. However, Razeth would retain his ability to size-shift, change from four-legged to anthropomorphic, use reformation spells and a skill to control his digestive system. Raz's body would absorb the magic, creating a refillable source that fueled his abilities. After a few years the dragon would grow up fairly quick, a mixture of the magic and the protein rich food he was fed. Many iterations of confinement were put into place to house him, shifting from the cage to an entire dedicated room for the red dragon that was rather fancy.
Although he was living in luxury, Razeth was never truly satisfied with being experimented on every week, and wanted to visit the outside world. The dragon decided that he had enough strength to defeat the mage and escape by size-shifting and outsmarting the greed-infected human. He waited for the mage's usual entrance into his room to hand him some food, having gained trust in the dragon, before the giant reached down and plucked up the wizard instead of the food. Raz would tie up his arms to prevent any use of magic, then open his mouth wide to display where the human would be going. The teeth would glisten in the light of the candle-lit room, and the glow from the gullet in the back would illuminate the plump uvula and tonsils. The giant waited a moment and enjoyed Alatar's pleas before the wizard eventually accepted his fate, knowing that his creation would live on. The red dragon then simply tossed his new meal inside, letting him plop onto the soft and squishy tongue. Razeth would swish the wizard around slightly, getting him covered in saliva before resting, allowing Alatar the chance to admire the mouth which consumed the many experimental potions, and was eventually going to swallow him whole. The red dragon gave a bit of a chuckle, before flicking the human towards his throat, giving Alatar a chance to grab onto the only thing which could help prevent him from being eaten, the dangling uvula. He expected the dragon to have a gag reflex of some sort, but that certainly wasn't the case, leaving the wizard holding onto the slick flesh before slowly slipping down and falling into the esophagus. Raz gave a wet gulp, sending his captor on a quick trip to gurgle land, feeling a splash and a loud rumble from his rather hungry stomach.
The massive dragon would then bash his way through the wall of the room, finding the heap of gold coins the human had gathered up, starting to shove handfuls into his mouth and swallowing them down. He couldn't simply leave the stash behind, and knew that his gut could be controlled to not dissolve the metals. They could also easily be passed through while the human would be completely absorbed, being an organic. Razeth ate and ate, filling his belly to the brim while Alatar tried his best to climb to the top of the growing pile, wanting to avoid the rising acids. His efforts would eventually be of no use when the walls started to churn roughly. The giant would walk his way up the stairs, which seemed almost too convenient in how wide they were. Said stairs would be no match for the weight being pressed onto them, each step crumbling under the big feet. He'd find that his sort of.. "home".. was just the basement of a decently sized house. Its size would not be enough for the dragon however as he shoved up against the roof and smashed his way out of the building, walking off to find a new home.
It would take a few days, but the red drake found himself an abandoned castle, it having seen a major war which destroyed a majority of it, but Razeth was determined to restore it to a functional state. The massive multi-story building with a fortified outer wall was built within a forest between two rivers, a really suitable spot for a dragon who liked to eat. The area was full of wildlife as well as fish that swam down from a nutrient rich lake a mile or two away. The giant walked his way through a crumbled part of the wall and proceeded to hurl up all of the gold coins which were kept in his stomach, looking extremely polished and.. a bit slimy. Raz saw storm clouds forming in the sky a distance away, knowing that the gold would be cleaned off naturally. Now he could size shift himself down to a more suitable size in order to walk through the castle, seeing that vines and other foliage have taken over a majority of the place. It would be a lengthy process, but after years of fixing his home would be built back up. It would even be filled with expensive furniture he had gotten either with the coins or from raiding small villages. To this day the dragon lives here, constantly awaiting for any potential visitors that happened to find the castle, thinking of it as a safe place to hide from the rain or the darkness of the night. . .
