Oh, FINALLY. FA is back online and I can finally collect my thoughts enough to express them.
I am absolutely over the moon about this because I've wanted a piece from you for years and now I have one so forgive me for being a big dork here but I am about to gush!
First of all, your pencil work is to die for. It always has so much depth! I also really enjoy how you don't erase all the guide lines because they add a little something, not sure what. I get the same feeling when I watch older Disney movies, I love how you can sometimes catch a glimpse of pencil strokes in the animation because somehow that makes it feel more organic and alive.
Composition wise this is so well balanced and planned, I let my eyes wander across the canvas and the experience is like a stroll through a pretty garden. I stop to look at something, smile, take in the surrounding view and just feel so good.
Moving on to the elements used in this, I'm just sitting here resting my hand on my heart a little because you've included so much in there that's just pure me and the feeling of you already knowing me so well and deeply is really moving. I love how the ferns curl around them like they're giving them a gentle hug!
You absolutely nailed all of it. I can't stop looking at that moss for example, it looks so thick and soft I just want to reach out and touch it and then have a sniff because moss smells so nice.
That smoke effect is so damn cool looking! It really looks like it's dancing across the page. Oohhh, and the texture on that pipe! That is one pretty pipe.
You've captured the essence of my kitten so well! From the sweet smile to her little paw grabbing his horn, which is totally something she would do if I had them. She constantly paws at my face and arm for attention when I'm working. I love the mildly mischievous sparkle in her eyes, very fitting!
His expression is so on point too, its like they were sitting pretty for a portrait and then the last second she grabbed him and he's like "Pff, kittens, what can you do. Just take the picture anyway." and that makes me giggle.
Another thing I really appreciate and want to thank you for is that you put all his details where they should be. I've had a few pieces done where the piercings switch ears and whatnot. It doesn't make me mad or anything, it's just something I find a little befuddling. Makes me extra happy when an artist gets everything right, though!
I love this to bits and I'm so grateful you agreed to draw these two, thank you so much! I legit want this tattooed on me at some point if you'd consent to that (And if I ever find a tattoo artist willing to work with the idea, I've had simpler ideas turned down so I don't know.).

I'm so happy you like it, man. I love the necklace you traded to me, and I think of our friendship whenever I wear it because I'm so GHEY like that.
I love the relationship you have with your fluffy little bundle of trouble, and I'm glad you let me include her in this one! Doing this was pure joy, and I'd be more than happy to do FOREVER trades with you! I can't wait to get started on the Merle trade!
