Yeah. I remember "Digging" that tune in all those Beany and Cecil cartoons I'd watch in my younger days.

Yes! The first time I heard this was Cecil in a "Brill Building" setting composing the song and singing it.

Beany and Cecil!!! Wuff remembers the cartoon version of D.J. the D.J. with Cecil, complete with singing dogs, D.J.'s wild "recording studio" in a car (with some REALLY crazy settings on the panel), and the little French Poodle that kept interrupting when they sang "G G" (thought they were singing her name - Fifi). *GRINS* Oh, those were good old shows! Thanks for bringing back that memory!

The earliest tune I can recall hearing on the radio was The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane by the Ames Brothers.
