Anyways, here's Dr. Frond, a pediatrician who isn't quite, er, human.
First off, he has no face. Or well, not a human-like face anyway. His flesh is putty-like and ... it's fun to draw him grow mouths in random places lol

Heeheehee.... I'm pleased to hear that. The "hair" gets drawn inside ... I dunno why really but there's no real use for it at that time (I suppose his hair works like quills or a crest and it's not very hair-like if you touch it.)

Of course, it is ideal that a character expresses itself with the whole body instead of just the face (I've actually seen people just copypaste a character and redraw the face and that makes my soul cry).
Hurr. Then of course there are vague expressions that are very context-sensitive... (bereft and disgusted look quite similar but I could imagine Frond being very tense in latter...)
