Gabi ref (4/4) (nom details, of cooourse)
The brain part creates a saliva-like liquid that it drips down to the mouth, it's thin and slippery but gets really sticky as it dries. In the wild it's meant to stick small pieces of food together so it can bring it into it's little fungus-y mouth, but for Gabi it coats the back of the mouth and throat so that things can slide in a little easier, and then once the food gets to the "belly" it makes it easier for the fluff to stick to it.
It's tongue is like the arms and legs, it has little strands of the fluff in it that move it different ways, doing normal tongue things like guiding foods.
And don't worry, it's not very dangerous to intelligent things and would only nom someone if they were really mean or were attacking someone else, since it wouldn't see them as someone it could interact normally with anyway. So that person probably deserved it.

If they aren't very sociable or if they're aggressive, since it'd consider them more of an animal. So normal people shouldn't have much to worry about, and anyone that's scared of it wouldn't have anything to worry about either, since it's not a natural hunter and the fear would just make it want to apologize if it thinks the person isn't an animal.
It understands the idea of pets as children, so they're safe if you just tell it or even just if it sees you being affectionate toward them! It learned it was a pet early on but later Gabi's owner treated it like it was his own child, so it considers both to be the same
...Oddly, what that closeup taught me most is that the nose is painted on. Hadn't noticed that before!
Gabi's an interesting creature! So since it's presumably still growing, is it going to have trouble in another decade or two when this shell no longer fits and it doesn't have a caretaker to make a new one? Or is there like a warehouse full of progressively larger Gabi Bodies..? You know, until it's eventually fighting kaiju and/or jaegers.

Aint got no nose! Would probably taste and smell with the little feelers that it had in the little bear forms, but now just goes off sight
And what if it sheds the doll body once it's big enough and just grows into the house as a shell!? Then is smart enough to take down the trees around the house to keep expanding it! Eventual super smart giant house monster that wants to be pet and play checkers and stuff, or fight kaijus

Yeah there'd definitely be a lot of problems even if it were to get 50% bigger, especially when it comes to communicating with the rest of the body, since it's slower than nerves and stuff. If it did end up getting bigger it probably wouldn't be moving around!
