Yes, even after years, you still feel the pain, and can see what is not really there. But, you never know, she is always there, in spirit, of course.

I still see my old dog, I just feel a burning shame that I have not one picture of her. If I do, I don`t have any idea where it is. Oh, how I loved her..

Don't beat yourself up too badly over having no photos; we keep their memories just as brightly even without the images where there's love involved.
