I found myself strolling high up among the mountain peeks from the word of the old nun of that village I was in not too long ago, she said her village had lost a caravan of trinkets and rare valuables to bandits and wondered if I could recover it and bring it back to said village. In need of exploration and wanting to spread far out from that place I reluctantly agreed and find myself here now. After a few days of search though it seems the caravan was indeed attacked, I found tracks and signs of a struggle near the road but couldn't seem to find where the wagon had crashed, perhaps it was moved somewhere close by or even brought back to their lair perhaps. Bandits have been known to loot most everything from these carts with deadly efficiency, most of the time though they just take whatever gold or jewelry they find and head off, no need to sell petty trinkets and artifacts with no connections to merchants to sell them too. Then, there I spotted it, ruined cloth, splintered wheel axels, this was definitely where the scuffle took place. After surveying the scene, and seeing the damage nothing of this situation made sense. No one was here and all the rare artifacts were perfectly intact but yet all the gold and jewels inside the caravan had been untouched. It's like the bandits attacked it and either lost hard, or something scared them off perhaps? I had to explore further, digging through the rubble, ripped cloth and splintered wood I checked over the artifacts carefully. Found some enchanted necklaces, circlets, rings, collected the gold and jewels into my satchel before seeing something rather rare inside. It looked like an ordinary thermos of some kind, yet it was littered with buttons, and future looking tech all over it. I'd have to tinker with it later for I had a quest to complete, I headed back to the village, handed over the relics, gold and jewels to the old nun but asked if I could keep the "fancy thermos" as I said trying to see if she thought I knew something about it. She said I could have it as a sort of reward for my service, so I popped it out to study it while making my way to the next town after filling up my supplies. After some tinkering I found out how it finally worked, with some twists and turns of it and button pressing I could open it by recalling it's previous contents, it was actually a thermos of holding. An artifact with immeasurable holding capacity, and you can recall said liquids or objects back just as fresh and hot as they were when you first put them in, but after recalling numbers 1-9 on the keypad I found something interesting in the 10th slot. After punching in the numbers and using a twist, a strange blue liquid was recalled out with a hint of orange but I noticed it was moving, and it reformed itself quickly into a sort of creature that stood tall in front of me. I just stood there frozen in awe, with so many questions, what kind of creature was this? How did it get trapped in the thermos? and was it responsible for keeping the caravan unlooted? Sadly none of my questions were answered as the slime had gripped me tightly, asking questions of it's own. Asking who I was, if I was here for the caravan before he took his grip off me at his new found freedom. I told him the story that I found him in this thermos, brought back the caravans contents and was on my way to the next town. He said he got caught up in a right mess, mistaken for a unique guard of the caravan that the bandits attacked, he managed to defeat all of them due to his nature as a slime construct, they couldn't hurt him and their attacks drew them into his body where they found their final resting place. After his large meal he looked for a spot to stay and locked himself into the thermos by accident, being there ever since, until I released him that is. He never really gave me his name yet and complimented me on my honor and honesty for bring back all the artifacts despite their value and rarity, I made the mistake of saying that he was the real rarity I had found for I had never seen anything like him. He blushed, returning his grip on me, calling me sweet, asking if i'd keep him around while I moved to the next town, ominously licking his lips. I agreed, curious about his anatomy which he would no doubt show me as he swallowed me up, he didn't absorb me through his body though, he chose to stuff me into his maw, dripping with, orange saliva? It was his ink, it was then I noticed his quill pen tail as I finished my journey into his ink tank. It was strangely warm but comforting within him, I could see in a slightly bluer hue to the outside as he carried me inside of him, saying I was safe inside there before telling me his name, Quincy the quill penned Silinkon.
