Sam And Max Hit Spontoon...
...well, in a manner of speaking. Meet Samantha and Max Vreeland, ace sub jockeys for the Rain Island Naval Syndicate.
When
walt46 was writing "Kocha Koi" with occasional suggestions from 
eocostello and Yr. Humble Servant, I came up with the idea of naming the veteran submariner duo "Sam and Max". Naturally, the Steve Purcell references flew thick and heavy, and a few of 'em wound up sticking...
Anyhow, here they are as depicted by
