While assisting my friend/mentor Pete at a convention in San Antonio late 2016, we wound up picking up a couple sketchbooks to pass the time during lulls at the show, and I bought a 5" x 8" watercolor Moleskine for the first time in a handful of years. That Moleskine became my go-to for art during my travels for conventions, and became a great testing ground for me with inks and experimentation. But this dragon bust was one of the very first things I drew in it, and features one of my very favorite inks, Rouge Hematite.
