Final Fantasy 8, is the only tittle from the playstation Era i haven't tried... would you recomend it?

FF8 is a needlessly complex game. The battle system is weird. If you wan to play it, you should do it while reading a guide to help. If you want to make it easy on yourself, you could also look at tips from other players to help you breeze through the game. Like, you could abuse the "Card MOD" ability to give you lots of advantages.
Besides that, the story is kinda interesting. Six teens taking on a witch, while the MC falls in love and learns to stop being an asshole. Some people hate Squall, but if you learn to forgive him, he's kinda cool.

it that hard to play/learn the system?
I've experience in all the ones from PSX, Snes and Nes ones, is this one a lot more complex than the others? like in FF2,where you just can't finish the game if you don't train a lot your combat stats for each weapon and things like those?

The most annoying part is the battle system.
To use Magic you have to Draw it from enemy monsters, then you use that Magic to boost up your own stats.
Drawing magic is tedious, and since it is used to determine your stats, if you use that Magic your stats go down. Which means you end up using mostly physical attacks and Summons throughout the game to avoid that.
But, you can find ways to abuse the system by obtaining strong magic early in the game, boosting your HP and Strength, then abusing the Squall's Limit Break to just take down everything.
The story is almost worth the experience, it depends how much you can tolerate Squall acting like a jerk 80% of the time.
