Orentea and Myrn floating down the river on an open rowboat they've borrowed in the village. They must be fatigued from celebrating these endless Nolander festivals. Having fun and dances and chants and lots of food and mead are the very things that truly exhaust. Thoughts of the long journey lying ahead make it even worse, but Myrn has a light-hearted company.
The festival has no particular name, but people call it simply a pale repast or pale feast. It's a two-day festival which, according to the locals is usually celebrated in the last days of pale spring when the snow only had started to thaw. It is also a day dedicated to the wretched travelers, who have perished in their travellings across the restless lands.
