Weemy the Wombat was a beloved children's show character from the 70s (country of origin unknown)

Although they were explosively popular in their time, they are now totally autonomous (and anonymous), appearing behind desks, outside windows, and around corners to people who are sad, lonely, or otherwise dissatisfied.

Nobody has ever seen their bottom half, or who controls the poles for their arms, if anything. They are typically handpuppet sized, but rumor has it Weemee has appeared in closets and stairwells at sizes... much larger.
