was half-awake when drawing this, had my ears occupied with music playing from my psp, aka: Digimon Op3 - Biggest Dreamer. when i shook my head to full concience, i had doodled this up lol...dunno if i should ink n stuff ...maybe later when i'm done with commissions XD

If you feel it's like that then it's not being done very well. Good macro art gives a sense of scale with the surroundings and the background. I think the problem is that people often skimp on the background detail to focus on the character and in the end it hurts the picture overall. It can also be done from a micro perspective though to give a sense of scale.
