Started drawing up some more side pics in-between commissions. This pic is pretty much one of them. Luma uses Rosalina's wand and regresses her along with Peach, Krystal, Daisy, Samus, and Bayonetta. Peach and Daisy don't seem too concerned, but the others are not pleased. If anything, they're more annoyed than anything.

That doesn't mean Nintendo now owns the character. Sega still owns the rights to her character, and gave permission to Nintendo to use her for their games. If what you said was true, would that mean Sonic is now Nintendo's property? How about Pac-Man who is owned by Namco, or Solid Snake from Konami, or Mega-Man from Capcom? Nintendo doesn't own the character rights, the respective companies just permit Nintendo to use them for the games, which Nintendo makes.
But that STILL doesn't mean Nintendo owns her. They did the same deal to Sega for Sonic, but Sega still owns him. The problem here isn't "who makes the games", it's "who owns the rights to them". For that, Nintendo does not own them. Why do you think they put the company logos on their game cases? Because they don't legally hold ownership of the character rights. That's why the title of this image is wrong, implying that all the characters in it are strictly Nintendo, when in fact, it isn't. If the title said "Smash Princesses", then I'd be more lenient.
Funny how each one of these other video game princesses becomes a counterpart to each princess from the Mario Series, complete with matching baby costumes:
Krystal = Peach (of all heroines in her own franchise, she is the main heroine)
Samus = Daisy (tomboy)
Cereza/Bayonetta = Rosalina (serious, wise cool beauty with magical powers)
