Vampire Connection
Next Gig
The month of March then came and Nicholas and those in the band with him were ready for another gig. It was the perfect time before Spring Break happened. The vampire and others who made up this group knew that one more would happen before Prom and Graduation, since they all were doing the latter this year. Lora of course was very happy to see her boyfriend perform again. “I can’t wait for it,” she told him one evening before it happened.
“Yeah, but the best one will be the last one,” he said.
Most of the student body showed up that night for it. Lora and her friends who weren’t in the band were some of the first in line. The female vampire got a good spot with them in the front room so she could see Nicholas. This time her outfit, while the usual one, left her stomach exposed. Nicholas had loved the same type of opening on the red Valentine’s day one so Lora wore this one tonight. When the time came, the band members came out. This time Nicholas was in a black shirt with no sleeves. The two found the other with their eyes and smiled at each other. “Thank you!” the male vampire said into the mike after the applause had died down. “Now it’s time to begin!” The lights dimmed until it was almost black. The lights slowly lit up until the last part to reveal the band. Then Nicholas began to sing verse.

The lights almost went off before dimming back up then off and then fully bright again.

After the intro the singing began.
