You'd probably enjoy the company of builders (the parrots; they look like this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/974143/). They're rather fragile physically and mentally, but working as a flock (and with newly invented firearms) they damn near conquered their world as thoroughly as humanity conquered ours.
And they are very, very creative with their architecture.

The Griffin Ranger world is actually pretty complex and very well thought out by Roz Gibson. I bought her two books (which I *HIGHLY* recommend) and then wrote a third book as a fan novel. Think of it like an "extended universe" book, covering 30 years after the events of Roz's two novels.
The context is the city's being lit up to greet a brand new griffin ranger to New Kaerling, Tirriss (the big flyer). It was set up by her childhood friend Rannit-eet (who's the little greenie flying next to her) as a grand welcome. The city was also congratulating Rannit-eet for graduating for their universe's version of Top Gun, which makes him one of the elite aerial combateers of the continent.
New Kaerling was built on the bones of the old lair of the villain Whitehead, whose picture I linked you to already. It represents a hoped-for bright future for griffin and greenie alike, even as the shadow of war with the "monsters" clouds their future.
You can find an excerpt from my novel here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30870868/.
Together with her observer Pidge the hanz, the three of them have a lifelong bond, and this is the first view Tirr and Pidge are getting of their new city. It's quite a first impression!

It's the cover of a novel! If you'd like a very brief exerpt, I posted it with this picture on my own FA site, here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30870868/.
That's a really good point, and a potential source of conflict, ironically, with the griffins and greenies on the same side and the mammalian faction (which has nocturnal members) on the other.
I never really thought of it that way. Mostly, I went gaudy because greenies designed this joint, and GAUDINESS is their religion. ^.^

The jetpack aspect was a lifetime creation for me - I sorta tacked it on to the Griffin Rangers world with some handwaving, and it worked surprisingly well!
The main two characters in it, Tirriss (the griffin) and Pidge (her hanz) are a pretty direct equivalent to Maverick and Goose from Top Gun. He operates her sensors, shields, and weapons; she concentrates on flying. And has a rather large attitude problem.
The little guy flying next to them, Rannit-eet, is a colleague and mentor that Tirr grew up with.

Besides all my responses to my commenters, I'll leave my own feedback. I'm just stunned. This is High Art. It looks like a completely professional book cover illustration, and seeing New Kaerling brought so vividly to life moved me to tears in real life.
I literally could not have asked for a better illustration of the Shining City on a Hill for griffin-Earth. It's completely fantastic. I've not one word of criticism.

Red and I worked a lot on those details. There was another picture drawn specifically as a "sketch" reference for this picture. I gave her a city map pointing to all the major landmarks, the general "feel" of the city, and we designed a suite of buildings. A LOT of time and effort went into this piece on both sides, and the end result was...humbling to me.
There's a LOT to unpack in the pic, but overall, it's meant to be a tribute to how you depicted greenie techology - a mix of 'Old School' and 'New School', with a communal zone (downtown), a commercial zone, and an outer territorial zone (where the rangers and the griffins who aren't top ranked live). The tallest structure, the Thunderbird's Pin, is a watchtower for Old Kaerling and the Chief Ranger's residence (as well as a small airfield for jet-assisted flyers and greenie quadrotors).
And it has your Avenues of Light prominently displayed.
When and if I manage to get the $ together, the next project for
red-izak will be Defiance. In contrast to the bright, colorful, and greenie-designed synthwave hallucination that is New Kaerling, Defiance will be as Old School as they come. Even within my fan-canon, SOME things didn't change one bit, and Defiance was one of them.
