I was thinking of listing the players here-- but I'll bet all of you already know who they are!
ebonyleopard put up a journal entry the day before MFF regarding pre-con commissions. With just minutes left on the clock before the midnight deadline, I shot him an e-mail with this request for five characters. Kind of figuring I'd made the request too late-- and too complicated-- I was surprised and delighted when Ebonyleopard spotted me in the Artist's Alley and pulled out this work of art.
I don't even know what to say, I love this picture so much. ebonyleopard, you're amazing.

Totally! I was pretty basic in my descriptions to ebonyleopard. I just told him that Katz was an older tabby cat. The paunch totally works.

Lyska has really long hair!
All three of them wear SHOES!!!

Well... I didn't want to ask an artist to draw someone else's character without getting permission first, and since this request was squeezed in at the last second, I didn't have time to seek it. So, I just put up characters that I had created.
As for the things you didn't know...
1. Hee! I mentioned to ebonyleopard that he was an older cat, near the end of his career. He picked the tubbiness. Still, we all know he can dunk it!
2. I didn't give the artist much info on Howell, other than him being a tall, slender wolf. He freely admitted he took some artistic license with that character by giving him a fro-- but the more I look at the picture, the more I like it!
3. Yeah, in my mind, Lyska has always had a big mop of black hair on his head. Not exactly sure why, but now that I can see him with it, I like it even more. I think Lyska is one of the best looking characters in this pic!
4. And, yes! Most players in the FBA wear shoes. B-Hop is actually unusual for playing barefoot. I think even Teronura used to play with shoes, but he changed his style when he moved to center. Makes it easier to feel if he's got a foot outside the key or not.
And I do intend to color this one! It totally deserves it!

If I were you, I would ask Doral if he minds his character getting included in any Thrust pictures from here on, seeing as XL is an integral part of the Thrust team and history now! I know I'm going to draw Doral in the commission for you of THE SHOT! That's HISTORY! It can't be altered!
Hehe, I think the fro works too! It speaks of a player who is a little unusual in his style and personality, and I can totally picture Howell, being a quiet intellectual, to have a frizzy, unconventional hairstyle. :) And maybe he shaves it every year like Dirk, then grows it out in time for the playoffs. ;)
I admit, I never really thought about how Lyska looked. He was probably the foggiest player in my mind, because he wasn't included in the starting lineup player profile pics you drew that one time. It never even clicked that he was a fox actually, just because I never imagined his species for some reason, so the whole picture of him was a pleasant surprise!
You know, now I need to know which players were wearing shoes in THE SHOT pic. Gotta stay historically accurate, you know. Though, as is my style, if I draw any character pics in the future of FBA players, if it's not mentioned otherwise beforehand, they're going barepaw baby! ^__^

It should be! Especially with that black headband around his head, it does really look like B-Hop is wearing an eyepatch. It's almost ridiculously obvious in this pictures, I think:
