Love for a She Wolf
Around Town
Nicholas awoke the next day well rested. He quickly got dressed and presentable to the royal family. Like last night they all ate in the same dining room as last time. When the meal was finished, he and Rose left and she led him to where the castle’s carriage cars were. They were stored in a room in the basement like area. The two arrived and the fosky saw the different models. “Whoa!” he stated. “Sweet!”
“We’ll be using one of these to get around,” the she wolf said to him. A driver was called and soon, they were riding out on the streets.
“So then… where shall we start?” Rose asked.
Since Nicholas didn’t know the layout of this place, they decided to take a tour ride starting from the top and making their way south. Nicholas listened to the female with him explain what buildings were here and he asked questions, all the while trying to memorize the layout of this place. At certain points they did stop to get out. The town folks greeted the princess and fosky with smiles whenever the two ran into some. Some of them were males that had high hopes for hooking up with Rose but still respected her decision of not wanting to date. However when she wasn’t looking Nicholas saw them throw jealous looks towards him. The long-haired male didn’t respond as it left him confused why they would. Still, Nicholas didn’t let this get to him and enjoyed this time with her. Indeed, they talked and laughed, even finding out that despite memory lost, Nicholas still could remember what he liked and disliked. To their surprise they had things in common, more so than they thought. From seasons, things to do during them, the finer points of combat, and other things. “I’m surprised,” he then said. “You don’t seem like the kind to like fighting.”
“Well, I’m not like some males who think about it all the time,” Rose replied. “But I do know how to wield a sword along with a bow. I’ve trained with my older brother.”
“I see. Well maybe I’ll practice with him when that time comes.”
The two then continued on and soon they were at the main square. It was here that many of the open venders were here along with a major statue in the center. Children played here and there was the sound of music in this part. Nicholas and Rose got out of the vehicle. “This looks like a nice place to be,” he said.
“Wait, Rose?” went a female voice. Both the fosky and she wolf turned to see her friend Amber and Erin standing close by. The second canine was black furred with short grey hair and dark brown eyes. Both were smiling.
“Hey!” the she wolf called and she and Nicholas went over so the friends could hug like all females who were really good friends did.
Amber then spotted the fosky along with Erin. “Oh?” the corgi asked. She and the second canine’s smiles got a little bigger. They hadn’t seen Rose with another male like this since Dante died. They of course knew all about that. “Who’s your friend?”
“Friends of yours?” he asked the she wolf.
“Yes,” she replied. “This is Amber and Erin. Girls, this is Nicholas.”
“Nice to meet you,” he stated and shook paws with the new females.
“So… what brings you here?” the corgi asked with her eyes narrowed a bit with a flirty look.
“Circumstances. I’ve lost my memory with most things and I passed outside the castle walls. Luckily Rose found me and I’m staying with her family. She’s been nice to me along with them and she’s showing me around.”
“Ooooh sounds… heroic with the first part,” the corgi said. Erin smiled, quieter of the three but looking at him with the same interest as Amber.
“I hope you do recover your memory,” the black furred female said in a quiet voice. Erin wasn’t shy, she was a very gentle soul and talked that way.
“Well, we’ll see you later,” Amber stated. “I’ve gotta run.”
“Same,” Erin commented. The two ladies waved goodbye to Rose before leaving, but they exchanged smirks. They were thinking the same thing of maybe this new male helping Rose out with love.
“They seem nice,” Nicholas told Rose.
She nodded with a smile and her eyes closed. “I couldn’t ask for better friends,” the female said. The two then continued, stopping at one point to get food to eat. However, the whole place couldn’t be shown in one day. That process took a few more. But once that was finished, it was time to test Nicholas and see what he could do like her father said. The fosky was ready for this.
