Shintsuki Tree
The Shintsuki tree is a large tree that grows 30 to 40 feet high at full maturity but can grow even taller in fertile soils that are undisturbed. The root system is vast to counterbalance the top heavy nature of the tree. The branches split outwards prolifically near the top into a dense canopy of five-lobed, pentagon-shaped leaves. This tree is uncommon and only found in the Central Island. Plentiful glowing sugar crystals grow from the roots and trunk of this tree and attract a lot of wildlife, which can be useful when seeking out new trees.
These trees bloom once annually for only a single night when a clear echo moon is in the sky (when the Conel full moon overlaps with Earth’s) and produce the commonly called Mundeyu fruit. The Mundeyu fruit flesh is encased in a very hard shell that is almost impossible to break with conventional tools and strength. These fruit are bunched within a sharp, five petal flower. Once in bloom the fruit can be easily picked and cracked open. The juice inside is sweet and intoxicating to most Conel species.
