Digital illustration project. This was another open ended piece, so I thought it might be good to use this as a chance to get more landscape/concept sort of art into my portfolio. I wanted to do a concept for a desert life scene. Here, the viewer just walked into town, everyone is heading to a festival hidden away in giant rock formations, (oh, maybe I should do the festival next?) The only requirements I set for myself was to stick with a blue/orange color scheme (because the stark blue sky and blue items in a desert are awesome), and to use of the marker composition technique that was shared with us in class.
