The mother to the rambunctious five sisters. She is still a work in progress but here is what is established so far.

Manaka is a sea dragon of mysterious origin (that i have not decided yet). The great beast tends to have a very regal sense about her, often over stating her importance...what ever that may be. Still she often displays her dominance unapologetic, often preforming feats of heroism or greatness just so she can receive praise for it to further bloat her ego, hence the guardian title that she gave herself. Many don't dispute it...other wise they see a more immature side to the "elegant sea guardian".

Manaka also loves her children dearly, even if she cant always be around them. However she also knows how dangerous they are and will often engage in physical sparring if she feels one is out of line, often ending the fight as fast as possible by any means to show her superiority and to force them back in line. Unfortunately, Shinra has the most gripe with her mom unbenounced to Manaka, taking up the task as the leading figure when Manaka is gone.


The great beast diet is one of constant perpetual motion, needing to be full almost constantly or she becomes very grumpy. Often she hunts in the ocean, eating mainly fish and fruit but she isn't a picky eater. She has eaten people in the past but mostly from mistake, self defense, or to show off her..."guardianess". Her more favorite meals are that of which could eat her in return, often whales and sharks and other deep sea monsters.

Despite her ego being the size of her stomach, Manaka is some one you can talk to with out fear of being eaten. Just be ready to praise her, listen to her praise her self, and have a fish on hand for her to eat.



On a side note I think I need to clarify something about this character.

You may have notice another gold and black dragon that been floating around in my gallery named Torarie. This character is not mine. It belonged to a friend. However, while i was interested in a lot of concepts, the character became less...tolerable to be enjoyable. Still I had long history and many idea's with that character as well as a lot of art put towards it. So, with the help of my very great friend  dr_deadman he helped me design a replacement that wasn't like the original so i can take a lot of those ideas and put it towards this new character. I am also a huge sucker for black and gold and the sisters needed a mom/origin story beyond "their mom abandoned them"

I hope you guys like her, i plan on going through a few pics I've done and re do them with Manaka in their place.
