Happy anniversary for Slightly Damned! I hope your comic gets even more popular! I'm hoping to make my own manga one day. I've got a good starting plot, a couple of cute characters, and an interesting world. There's still much to brainstorm. If you have any advice for me on making a comic, please share with me. Keep up the awesome stuff, Chu!
Thanks! As far as advice goes, I would start by recommending you pick up a copy of Scott McCloud's "Making Comics". It's very illuminating, and it's even told in the form of a comic. Also, try out this free one-week exercise from the school I got my degree in cartooning from: https://www.cartoonstudies.org/prog.....oning-workout/
Good luck with your project!

If any of that were true you'd be able to share information and explain the dicotomy of the world, it's major mechanics, and how people, both good and evil develop under those conditions.
For example::
My world for example IS powered by the power of mana, but 2 things, 1. Mana is a physical substance thst can be extracted from the world if your willing to dig deep enough, and 2. There are 2 states of being for this substance, silvery metal with a pebbly surface with black veins where ever its edges are, (this one is highly unstable and literaly explode if you blow on it), and glowing liquid silver like mercury, that is still highly poisonous when injested (this one so stable it literally can't kill you unless if injested and is pracktically useless unless diluted with water, reactivating it.)
But things kick off once people figure out how to keep the unstable state, inactive, until they get it where they need to go, where in its reactivety makes things grow faster (like plants) or restores them (like rusted metal tools or 3rd degree burns)
And people injest the mana that was used to energize the crops... solve for X.
---
I just told you a large portion of events in my universe but notice, out side of 3rd degree burns, i didn't give you any specifics, thats because i barely scratched the surface of my universe, and though it seems to be an easy act to follow... i came up with ways to keep you guessing whats happening next by knowing more WHY i subverted your expectations than HOW.
This is also because, you NEED to talk about your work, because outside of how i framed my story, i need to know if its comprehensable for all readers to follow, as well as entertaining to the point its interesting.
