Born in Alola she was one of a very limited number of female salandit born during her season, however at a young age she was kidnapped by a salazzle and under her influence she and her salandit followers left Alola to hide in Johto where they preyed on unsuspecting pokemon and turning them into servants and slave. She remained under her control until Rocky accidently caused a vase of powerful smelling herbs to fall on her. She helpped Ellis, Rocky, and Alex rescue Kimi and Comet from her clutches and went there own way.

Days later Alex reunited with Ivy who was now a salazzle when she was trying to gather herbs when the salazzle's followers tried to attack her out of spite. She was already having a hard enough time since no one trusted her after the events that transpired and some pokemon went out of there way to bully her. She swore off of using her hypnosis as she was a victim of it didn't want to subject others to it. Despite this and her history as a slave, she had vaste knowledge of pokemon anatomy and plants and there effects on others and later agreed to be the circus doctor.

Her knowledge of herbs, chemicals, and berries allows her to create useful things for the circus and its members. She is able to create smoke bombs and miniature fireworks with the help of Ellis and several healing potions and antidotes in case the circus members get her. Her entire room is pretty much a greenhouse and research lab and tends to keep to herself with her plants. She works as an illusionist using her unique blends to create some interesting effects.
