So, it’s my turn? Very well. My name is Ragna. I am from a core world of the United Mustel Directorate, a government run by a bunch of smart dumbasses. My parents were among those smart dumbasses, and they thought… no, screw that, they wanted me, expected me, were going to have me follow in their footsteps and spend my time in some sort of lab. I wanted to be a soldier though, so I pushed to join the military.

At first they tolerated it, thinking I’d grow out of it… but eventually they started yelling at me over wasting my potential. When I wouldn’t back down, they pulled strings and made sure I could never join any armed force. In my position I didn’t have many options, so I signed up with a merc company that was around… which was filled with a bunch of lazy, incompetent morons with a guy who didn’t like Mustelans.

It was so satisfying watching them get torn apart when we met Teodora. Course I nearly died too, but… when she saw how tough I was, she was actually impressed. She respected me. And more importantly, she offered me a chance to see my full potential… which included this wonderful psionic amplifier I have. She did more for me in a standard year than my “loving” parents did for all my young life.

So that is why I serve the Aspirant, why I serve my lady. She gave me the chance to be the warrior I knew I could be, I should be. And some day… THEY will see how much of my potential I’ve “wasted.”

More Adamant Soul related commission work done by  xehta13 featuring another of the big bads in the Aspirant. Ragna. A character whose design I was quite happy with.

Ragna is one case of a character whose actual character came about thanks to me flushing out the world (well galaxy) of AS. Originally I had no idea what to really give her character beyond being "the serious soldier" of the group. Than I came up with the Mustelans (the race made of the mustelid animal classification) and them being a very scientific and espionage leaning race. From that... well you get Ragna's backstory.

Beyond that though, she is the serious business one of the little Aspirant family. She also serves as the only truly long range fighter of her family as well, not that she isn't above getting right up into someones face if the need should arise. And she's always got her lightning psionic amplifier if she ever needs something flashy, though she does prefer her trusty guns.

Also, Lunis pointed out how Ragna practically has to be Liena's rival while he was making this. Black with purple color scheme, psionic, uses a laser weapon... too many similarities for the two not to destined foes. *laugh*
