OMG non-anthro! and somewhat cell shaded? hahaah.. I was looking around on the web last night at random artists and their beautiful work, and this picture jumped out at me, it reminded me so much of Amelia from Slayers, but it was a girl in modern cloths. So i thought, what a kind of cute idea it would be to play around with Amelia's tunic outfit and change it into something people would wear today. The pocky thing, the girl in the picture i saw, had it in there too, i had to add it or else it looks to much like she is trying to pee like a man against a wall with this weird looking face XD and a smile was to creepy.
Amelia © NOT ME! I do not own her.. She is © to the maker of Slayers. Idea inspired by some artists who's name i don't know because it was written in japanese.

That's so cute! ^_^
I really love how realistic her clothes are and how they fall and fold around her body.
Anime isn't especially my favorite sort of style, but you've added your own twist to it that really makes it appealing!
I probably open every single drawing you submit. That's how much I enjoy your art.
You really nailed her expression here, too. Really love the blush.
Excellent job, Kayiko! Thanks for sharing. ^^ <3

I really need to sit down and watch all the slayers stuff sometime... I saw most of the first season years and years ago and I like it a lot, so I imagine the rest must be good as well. I'll get to it eventually!
love this picture, the folds on her clothing and the shape of her legs especially! :3

Wow. Amelia from Slayers. It's old school without straying from the actual character.
Happening to like how you took the clothes she wears in the series and made them..well, modern. Or something like what people would normally wear and not be considered cosplay.
OK, I take that back. I don't think anyone would really wear boots like that regularly.
Unless it's REALLY cold out. And they were on sale. ..............At Macys.
Moving on from that though, it was a good job for you to turn the normal shirt she wears into a hoodie. That looks like something people could normally pick up at the GAP or so. Plus I enjoy how you happen to color it in. With how you have it darker as it goes into the folds of the shirt, it kinds of make it look like a sweater. (Which I think it was in the series from her....due to how many explosions she's ran, tripped, and swam away from without it tearing, it had to be pretty damn durable....)
Going from that, pretty cool work in hair sheen there. How it goes from light at the top, then that shine/gloss across the middle then dark at bottom shows really good use of light source. Speaking of light sources, nice white shadow on the background you placed. Sure it's over gray space, but it's a lot more interesting than plain white space. Not that you need me to tell you this. But I happened to think it was impressive.
....Then again, I usually only color with MS Paint, so I suppose that's not saying much.
With the look on her face and the pocky stick, I'm going to have to say that you happened to do something that I don't think a lot of people would really do: You made her look... NORMAL. No spastic anime pose. No over the top Photoshop dramatic lighting effects. It's like you'd see you in every day life (As people still dye their hair purple believe it or not.)
And for that, I can wholeheartedly say that I respect this.
It's a nice art piece here if you don't mind me saying~

aww again! Thank you!! I can't believe you saw that much detail in to this simple lil sketch thing i did. Im glad that you like her outfit! It took me a while to think about what Ame would wear in todays world. Boots are mega big here in America/New Jersey.. So someone might wear boots kinda like that. So i just thought having her boots with a lil touch of her medallions, might be cute. Thank you so much for the long comment! And well thought out one at that!
