Not much to elaborate here. Was pondering how to use my latest creation and came across some Dioramas and decided to use one.
My main headache here was the tail. For some reason I can't fathom, it keeps losing its textures. I've got a pretty heavy sex render in the works that gave me the same issue last night. Twice.
Though this one was more like...first I forgot the textures (white smooth tail), then I forgot the fur (came out all plastic-latexy-like), then forgot to apply the texture to the fur. >_<
I'm still divided on this fur...while it can look great, it's a pain to make the clothing not clip through it (usually expanding it as much as possible). Sure, I can turn some areas off (like the feet here), but when it's on-and-off, like the strap over his chest...Argh.
Plus, I need to see how the fur will react to genitals, since those are usually "attachable" parts. Took me ages to make Ashen's vagina work properly. Now, to repeat the same on every. Character. D:
But on the bright side, making this guy wasn't as tough as it could be. While I did have trouble with the head (since I can't export female morphs to male and vice-versa), the textures were the main obstacle. For some reason, the male UV maps (coordinates of where 2D textures go on a 3D model) are just SLIGHTLY different from the female. I tried to fix that head-on, with a lot of Photoshop's Liquify. But after looking around, turns out there's a script to swap male & female UVs! That was a lifesaver. Though the issue still remains of the tail, which has a different UV and no utility for it. Which means I need to do it manually. For each species. /dies
So yeah...Now that there's a dude, I can do adult renders...Oh joy. |D
