Another entry for the 10 Second Club. "Well, I guess this is goodbye. Just remember, the problems of two people don't amount to a hill of manure in this wacky world, but at least...we'll always have the barn.". Audio from Rocko's Modern Life. Tove is an original character I created, based on the Lewis Carroll description, and modeled in Maya.

Hmm, the speed of Tove's limbs in the animation is nice and fast, sometimes I see in the older 3D movies and tv shows that it's kinda slow motion, but the acceleration of the limbs from one direction to another, or from speed to a halt is too fast... are you using that straight rendering um... forgot what it's called, where you have key points and the model just goes straight through each point as it moves? Otherwise, darn good job =D
Straight ahead? That's hard to do in 3D, it's mostly a 2D animation technique.
Naw, the first crit I got on this actually was that I was using *too much* pantomime, which I'm aware of, although I'm not gonna change at this point. I'm hitting a pose for nearly every phrase he says - normal people don't talk like that!
Plus, on the pose where his arms go up, I don't take into account the weight of his arms in the timing he hits there. The result is he gets "muppet arms" - the muppets had this problem all the time since their hands are just on wires/sticks.
Thanks for the full crit tho'! :D

Well there's this:

Probably the best explanation to how to do animation, and probably what I was telling you about.
But pulling off proper animation like Keith Lango is talking about isn't what made that go wrong - if anything it would have *fixed* it. But it's more a matter of timing. Ah well. *shrug* :B
