The day has been long for the cocker spaniel. Her wide stride proves to be taking a toll on her poor legs. Every step causes her frontal weight to shift sharply which require her to counterbalance to prevent her to fall. Although she considers it nothing new, especially since it was an ongoing struggle for the last few months.
Teaching kids while sporting an ever-growing girth was no easy task. A stomach so large that you sometimes bump the whiteboard, erasing some lectures along the way. Trying to sit at her desk AND completing paperwork is nothing but trouble. It’s even embarrassing when kids find some amusement seeing her struggle to get up and other similar situations as of late.
Despite all that, she can have some enjoyment from it. The pups keep her company for long shifts. She needs all that uplifting company she can get to keep her sanity up. There are no maternity leaves for this mom. Given her current predicament, she needs all the money she can get to support herself and her little ones. But even that isn’t enough.
The busiest mom out there, heading to her second job. Funny enough, she’s a dancer despite her condition. A less desirable one than a teacher, but a desperate attempt to keep her afloat. They pay a bit more, fortunately, and some clients seem to have a liking to her growing figure. Some even have special nights that dedicated certain interests, and she sees much gains from them. Despite becoming less flexible in her dancing career, it doesn’t stop her one bit to keep at it.
It was a long waddle to get to the strip, but it was bearable. It won’t be long to have her little ones in her arms. Her due date is around the corner. All she needs is to juggle her two jobs until she can settle down. Eventually.
A little story to go along with this artwork so I can to practice on my writing. It has been rusty for quite some time.
