If you're wondering why western animation, it's because most "adult-sized" models in cartoons (e.g. Batman, Captain Planet, or Johnny Quest, compared to Spongebob Squarepants or Dexter's Laboratory) have a strange proportion of giving the upper body a large frame, but slowly thinning it down as it goes to the waist and legs. You can see this in stuff like Justice League.
Why a tiger? Seems like tigers are a nice animal to anthro-ize in cartoons. Seen those tigers in Batman Brave and the Bold (particularly anthro Bronze Tiger)? No, I am not saying this one's from the show. Even extra characters who are brutes have the same build (look up on Turtles Forever).
Anyway, here's my attempt to do it on a buff tiger.
