Well, for one, my friend mentioned she was in the mood for bright green at the time, and I knew she had an Emerald Boa character.
The character, Uraeus, does have the serious nods to representing "Adam and Eve's wisdom-dispensing serpent + dragon/snake guarding golden apples + Egyptian protector". I tried to draw the lighter side of that(loose tag), because, aside from living in an apple tree, Uraeus simply likes to pluck the fruit (or other characters) and drop them from the tree. That's where we get "newtonian".
