When monsters take a nap

The more I look at and study your designs I can't help but recall the John Carpenter version of "The Thing." Not that this is bad and all, but it does give me pause to ponder "What if?" Would we respect nature better, or surrender and become part of it? I fancied the idea of this creature playfully enjoying a game of "Catch" tossing an object with it's tongue-claws. Imagine if you will, at how the creature's intellect might improve with such extra "Manipulators" that are far more dexterous than it's original front paws? Yes. The creature is still a very lethal "Hunter-Killer", but now one that can open doors.
