Heather Quinn's father is a regional senator from Blackthorn City in the Johto region. Her parents were divorced when she was young, and her father used his connections to push her mother out of the picture. A career politician, he and his second, trophy wife expected Heather to play the part of the perfect political princess, always acting in a proper way to never draw undue attention from her father and his important work. Needless to say, Heather has never been very excited about this idea.

A rebel from the start, Heather has always been trouble. She's proven shrewd enough to never quite cross the line into an unforgivable offense, but has often been the subject of one political embarrassment or another, be it fights or trouble in school or other offenses (like getting caught drinking backstage while her father was giving a speech on the importance of parental involvement in keeping their kids out of trouble).

Finally tired of her attitude and troublemaking her father shipped her off to the Poke-Combat Academy in order to shape her up and, more importantly, keep her out of the newspapers. Under the threat that the next stop is either juvie or a military academy she has kept a lid on the worst of her rebellious ways but is still the perennial "bad girl". Though she's been laying low in the background for a while she's kept a very sharp eye on developing events at the school. Her rebellious attitude and rough, acerbic demeanor hide a keen mind that's no stranger to political machinations, ideal for getting ahead in the cutthroat world of high school.

Heather says what's on her mind without much regard to things like tact or politeness. She's a better fighter than she lets on, which comes in useful when others don't appreciate her blunt, crass, though usually true ways of putting things. She'll call a spade a spade, and if it's blunt, chipped, rusted, or dented, make sure to point that out too.
